Her clinical approach is based on over 20 years of experience in women's health and her extensive knowledge of reproductive medicine.
Kara is passionate about helping women find the key pivotal areas that will create balance and greater health for them. Besides expertly providing care to fit the individual patient’s needs and goals, she is dedicated to empowering women to make the lifestyle changes that are going to have the greatest impact on their overall health and fertility.
Kara believes in the profound healing power of the food that we eat, and enjoys helping patients discover the diet that will be most supportive for them. She holds a deep respect for the authentic experience of each patient and is committed to offering a safe and compassionate space for women to explore their healing at a deeper level.
Kara is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by the Minnesota State Medical Board. Additionally, she has undertaken a high volume of onsite pre- and post-embryo transfer treatments at various fertility clinics around the Twin Cities metro area, including the Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM), Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates (RMIA), and the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM).
Lauren is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by the Minnesota State Medical Board. Chandler’s approach to treatment involves first creating an atmosphere of safety and respect. Anna (she/they) arrives at Fertile Ground with gratitude to be joining this supportive community. Since 2011 they have cultivated a holistic, intuitive and skillful approach to offer people deeply therapeutic, restorative and balancing bodywork. With her initial training being at CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School & Clinic, she has continued learning and growing since with training in full spectrum doula care, craniosacral therapy, end of life/death care and energy work- to name a few! She is passionate about meeting each person wherever they find themselves and inviting their whole being to connect with and remember their innate ability to integrate and heal. Anna’s hope is that the foundation of each session is based in compassion and trust so that you feel safe and supported to be heard, held and cared for.
Katy (she, they) is a free spirited adventurer. She grew up in southern California but has recently found herself at home in Minnesota. She spends her time exploring the healing arts, such as meditation, yoga, pottery and poetry. She is a full time student reaching for her BSN with intent to specialize in a holistic path. Alternative medicine and holistic healing have always had a place in her heart. Acupuncture has helped Katy in various ways, including: grounding, realignment, tinnitus and migraine relief. She loves spending time in her community, sharing stories and mixing with different energies.
Moon (she/they) joins the Fertile Ground team in October 2022 as a recent transplant from midcoast Maine. Drawn to acupuncture and Chinese Medicine through her own healing journey, she has experienced first-hand how effective these approaches can be. She has been navigating the fertility world through her path as a known sperm donor and understands that creating a family can look many different ways and there can be many challenges in the road to get there.
Moon studied holistic education at Marlboro College, looking specifically at how dance, music, and nature can be woven into learning, healing, and community. When she is not climbing a tree, swinging on a dance floor, or playing piano, she is studying different healing modalities and allowing her presence as a healing force in the world to become more clear.
April (she/her) joined Fertile Ground in August 2020 as our Office Manager. In January 2023, she became a full time student and now fills in at the front desk from time to time. Having been on a difficult road to health following an immune disorder diagnosis, April has found so much benefit from acupuncture, herbs, and holistic wellness. When it's safe to do so, April loves to travel and explore ways of life different from her own. She is passionate about the earth, climate change education & action, and social activism. When she isn't at the clinic, she is probably caring for her houseplants, painting, studying, or playing with her favorite pup, Sunny.
April graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Villanova University in 2018 and is currently working towards her Master's in laboratory science.
Elisha joined the Fertile Ground team in April 2022 as an office assistant, filling in at the front desk as needed. Her interest in joining the Fertile Ground team stems from her passion for holistic health, wellness and nutrition. This passion arose out of her own struggles in her personal health journey as she was diagnosed with a hormonal disorder in 2017. Seeing the immense benefits of holistic health in her own life, Elisha has decided to become a student in all ways to learn as much as she can about health and wellness.
Elisha values family, community and her Christian convictions. In her free time she is either at her church serving or in the company of her family and friends. Some of her favorite hobbies include reading, shopping, organizing her home, hiking, going to the movies and or listening to LoFi.
Elisha graduated from University of St. Thomas with an Associate of Arts degree. In the near future she hopes to pursue a certification in Herbal Studies.
